Mt Cameroon is right on the coast a bit north of Kribi. It goes right to the ocean and is one of the rainiest places in the world! We stayed here, at the Hotel Atlantique, which has undergone a major renovation since Uncle Ron's last visit...which included putting this very scenic oil platform right in front of the window. Good times!
Rain on banana trees
Mt Cameroon most recently erupted about 10 years ago, with a lava flow that went right over the road to the edge of the ocean. I love volcanoes, so it was really exciting to see one on another continent! Well, kinda see it, imagine it, behind the clouds...(just like home!)

New life
Well, one little part kind of came out as we were leaving! (we were really glad that we got to see it when we were landing in Doula on our way to Yaounde when we arrived...but of course, I didn't take a picture then, silly me!)
